I have been studying grace the past two weeks or so.  Wow!  What an incredible God we serve!

It is Friday, 4:00 p.m. here (2:00 a.m. in Kansas) and it is over!  I can hardly believe that I have survived a whole, official school year.  We had our final day today.  We finished in a chapel service and then a pizza lunch!  It was great!  I get a week's rest now until I will start summer school!  I will teach summer school for 3 weeks, 2 hours a day.  I've chosen not to go home this summer with the hope that I will be able to save some money.  I've never been away from home that long before. I guess it's time.  Friends I've made here are starting to say good-bye and are leaving either for the summer or for good.  It's so amazing to me that they can be such a big part of my life and then, just be gone.  Another hard part of life, I guess.  I might not ever see some of these people again in this lifetime.  (I'll see them in heaven)

"The Lord your God in your midst, the Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing." Zephaniah 3:17

"Yet I am always with you; you hold me by my right hand.  You guide me with your cousel, and afterward you will take me into glory.  Whom have I in heaven but you?  And earth has nothing I desire besides you.  My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever."  Psalm 73:23-26

We are finally nearing the end of the semester!  We are swarming with new students and all I know is there is an end in sight!  God is so good to me and I am thankful for his continual presence in my life.

I had a friend write me the other day and tell me that he was going to this huge prayer conference with some other pastors.  He asked me what he could pray for. I had no idea I could come up with so many prayer requests!  Please help me by praying for the following.....

--For my spiritual life.  That my daily quiet times would be fruitful and full of food.  That I would grow hungrier for his word and just simply him in my life.

--Please pray for my loneliness.  I want to get married so bad sometimes. However, I know that God's timing is perfect and he also knows exactly what I need.

--Please pray for my ministry here.  Pray that my eyes would be open to his invitations to joining him in his work. That I would be sensitive to those around me.

--For my students. Both new and old.  The new missionary kids are adjusting to a new dorm and people.....a bit stressful, I imagine.

--For my praise band.  Please pray for Irina, Tony, Dave, Momin, Hannah, Lee, Andrew, and Eddie.  Please pray for Pastor Eddie.

--For my living situation.  Please pray that I would be able to love my roomate and sister in Christ, Amy.  That I would be able to serve her over my self.

--For my Operation Mobilization friends. In two weeks, their ship, the Doulos, will be coming to town for several weeks of ministry to the local community.  Please pray for Willem and Reinhold as they are very busy tying up loose ends.

--Please pray for the university that my school is located at.  They are having many problems.  Lots of spiritual warfare, I believe.

--Please pray for my friends going to China soon.  Please pray for their preparations and for the many details involved.

--Please pray for my family at home. My parents and Marcus, my brother.

--Please pray for me to make the best of the much free time I will have here this summer. Pray that I will make the best of my time.

Thankyou to those of you who have truly gotten to the bottom of this long list and are willing to go before the Lord for me. It truly means a great deal to me. If there is any way that I can pray for you, please let me know.  God is so good and so much bigger than anything we are dealing with at the moment!  Keep your eyes fixed!

June 6, 2001

So, I am here in Korea.  It is Korea's Memorial Day and so I am taking advantage of it!  Grading papers, making lesson plans.......spending way too much time on the computer!  I've decided to remain here at this school until December.  I want to use my money wisely and pay off as much of my school loans as I can.

Please pray for my relationships with my coworkers. That I would desire to please God and seek his will over my own.  Please pray that God would give me the strength to withstand any spirtual attack that may come my way.  Please pray for the new Missionary kids at my school.  Pray that I would be sensitive to their needs and more than able to love them.  Thanks!
